  4. Lieber Hans,

    Wir waren im Feb. in Pattaya in deinem Garden. Wo uns nach anfänglichem zögern alles gezeigt wurde. Hat uns sehr gefallen. Ich habe dann 3 Kakao- Ba
    äumchen und einen Strang Vanillie gekauft. Habe sie in Chaiyaphum gepflanzt einer gedeiht sehr gut die anderen 2 so lala. Nur die Vanillie macht mir sorgen ist nur noch ein kleines Stück vorhanden das anwachsen ist ein Problem. Wäre es möglich schon bewurzelte und in Töpfen gewachsene Pflanzen zu kaufen. Sind im Mai wieder in Pattaya und kommen sicher wieder vorbei um mehr Pflanzen zu kaufen.

    • Lieber Roger,

      ich bin im Mai leider abwesend, aber die Familie ist hier. Es sollte kein Problem sein, eine solche Vanille Pflanze zu erwerben. Sie muss allerdings gepflegt werden. Wir haben ebei unserer Vanille Wand einen Sprinkler installiert und wir besprayen die Pflanzen nun zwei mal wöchentlich mit Flüssigdunger: Einer für den Wuchs, einen anderen für das “Blühen”. Jetzt habe ich bei der Vanilla erstmals das Gefühl, es tut sich etwas.
      Beim Kakao ist das Wichtigste: Viel und regelmässig wässern und Kuhmist oder ähnlichen Dünger zugeben.

  6. Hi , I have some land in Sangkhlaburi West of Kanchanaburi. I have been growing cocoa trees for a couple of years now. I also grow coffee, macadamia, and avocado. The cocoa (about 30 trees) are doing well but no flowering yet. I am interested to buy more. Could you give me the price please for the following (numbers will depend on price but just so you have an idea): (1) Cocoa – 30 trees Variety?, (2) Vanilla – 20 plants, (3) Thai Nutmeg -10 trees, (4) Cinnamon Trees -10 trees, (5) Olive trees – 10 trees
    I am also interested in price on avocado saplings.

    • Dear Mark,

      thanks for your inquiry regarding different plants.

      1 Cocoa: We have seedlings about three years of age that flower already or are about to start: 450 Baht per piece.
      Then we have three Trinitario variety cocoa plants left: 600 Baht per piece. We can produce (air layer, clone) more of those, but need six months for that.

      2. Vanilla: Very difficult to find. We can offer 20 plants at 1200 Baht a piece. All are rooted and good to make three to four new plants each.

      3. Nutmeg: We have older trees (at least 4 years old) at 1200 Baht a piece. Or seedlings at 300 Baht a piece.

      4. Cinnamon: We have now only 8 older trees, at least 4 years old: 1500 Baht a piece.

      5. Olive trees: 1400 Baht a piece.

      6. Avocados: We have grafted Hass or Booth 7 plants at 1400 Baht a piece
      Avocados from seeds: 250 Baht a piece.

      we have young cannonball seedlings, but they will only be on sale in about half a year, they are too small now.

      Get back to me in about six months for those.

      sorry to say I do not know where Khlong Lan is? We have olive trees for sale at 1400 Baht a piece. I attach a price list of most our plants, have a look and get back to me eventually.

  11. Hallo Hans
    Ich bin Landsmann von Dir und ziehe im November von Huahin nach Bueng Kan, das ungefähr 150 km von deinem Garten in Nong Kai entfernt ist.
    Ich möchte gerne einige Kakao Bäume kaufen und die an meinem neuen Wohnort anpflanzen. Gibt es eigentlich in Thailand eine Möglichkeit die Kakao Früchte irgend jemandem der Schokolade produziert, zu verkaufen?
    Wenn die Baumsetzlinge schon ungefähr 3 Jahre alt wären würde das passen.
    Für ein kurzes Update diesbezüglich wäre ich dankbar.
